Several people who posted comments in the discussion (ME) about a Thursday blog post about the ad war in the congressional campaign between West and U.S. Rep. Ron Klein in the Broward-Palm Beach county 22nd districts debated where Republican West lives.

Allen West has just two months before his general election faceoff against Congressman Ron Klein, but he wasn't inclined to spend this precious holiday weekend campaigning in the Broward/Palm Beach congressional district. Rather, he made a road trip to Leavenworth, Kansas, to speak at a rally for ten soldiers who have been jailed at that base after being convicted of murdering Iraqis.

To put it mildly, West hates Arabs and Muslims. In a year where Muslim-baiting has become a mainstay of the conservative brand, West's support for a civilizational war with the Muslim world has made him a darling among some of the most conspiratorial, reactionary and bigoted minds on the political landscape. Tea-Partying Congressional Candidate Allen West’s War Against Coexist Stickers
Florida Congressional candidate and Tea Partier Allen West is a retired army lieutenant colonel who loves God, believes in American exceptionalism (but not congressional district maps), rides a motorcycle, and is so dedicated to the armed forces that he never takes off his old uniform, even in the shower. So it’s no surprise that he isn’t totally down with those “Coexist” bumper stickers that are so popular with free-spirited, accepting-of-everyone types.
